Rapid Defense can ship your privately sold firearms and parts. UPS and FedEx have both recently updated their policies so that only FFL holders can ship firearms. The USPS allows private parties to ship long guns only, but often with heavy restrictions depending on your post office.

We make shipping your firearm easy. Simply drop off your firearm packaged and ready to go and we will ship it for you via UPS using our FFL license. We offer a flat rate based on the typical costs of mailing firearms that includes standard insurance and transfer fees for the sender. Handguns must be shipped overnight and long guns typically go via 2-day but UPS can require overnight at their discretion.

If you would like more than the $100 default insurance from most carriers, please let us know and we will inform you of any additional costs based on your insured amount.

We offer discounted rates for shipping more than one firearm. Choose the option you require from the drop down on the right.

The following is required to use this shipping service:

• Pre-packaged firearm(s) in new, durable cardboard boxing (DO NOT INCLUDE AMMO IN SAME PACKAGE AS FIREARM)
  • Can package up to 3 guns in one box
• Copy of the recipient's FFL of choice (we can't ship to the private party)
• The name and phone number of the recipient (so their FFL can contact them)
• A copy of the sender’s ID (your driver’s license)

This fee is non-refundable. Rapid Defense is not responsible for the shipped item(s) once dropped off at UPS and is not liable for any damages, lost shipments, or subsequent shipping costs. We will provide a tracking number to you that can be used to contact UPS for service.
