The Intermediate Defensive Rifle training class is a one day course developed for novice and experienced shooters. It dives deeper into the defensive shooting mindset by enhancing basic skills and introducing new techniques and stress. Students should be comfortable operating their rifle and handgun and have a good grasp on marksmanship and safe handling. This is a good class for shooters who have taken classes before and want a low stress brush-up of critical skills.
This class builds on the skills learned in the introductory class by doing more, faster. After a brief refresher, the class progresses into more advanced weapons manipulation and shooting. Students will dive deeper into positional shooting and using cover/concealment. New skills introduced include multiple targets and movement, operating near others, and face-to-face encounters. Sling technique and handgun transitions are also introduced.
