The Advanced Defensive Shotgun training class is a one-day course developed for intermediate and experienced shooters. This class is for the individual that wants to be able to confidently use their shotgun for personal defense. Students will begin by reviewing the safety and fundamentals that were covered in the Introduction and Intermediate Shotgun Class then expand and build on that. We will conduct a ballistic diagnostic experiment on barriers and substrates that you may encounter while using a shotgun for personal defense. Students will be able to test and evaluate their chosen defense ammunition with these barriers and with distances that they will likely encounter.
Throughout this course students will gain further confidence on their use with a defensive shotgun while moving, using cover, working from various positions all while keeping the shotgun up and running. Students will get a chance to test and evaluate their weapons, gear, and ammunition selection especially if they made any changes after attending the previous classes.
This course can be run with a reliable pump action or semi-auto shotgun either 12 or 20 gauge. Students should have ghost ring or red dot sight equipped shotgun. (Bead and even Rifle Sighted will have some limitations) No magazine fed, or bullpup shotguns are allowed in this class.
